Using folders to organize reports

Hello,

We have some reports published in app.powerbi.com and organized in different workspaces. Now we want to use the new folder feature to better organize our reports. We have tried moving the reports, but when we attempt to implement them from one workspace to another, using the canalization, it seems the link gets broken and we cannot complete the process.

Is there any way to do this without having to upload them again and losing the original URLs of the reports?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Jcorbalan ,

Maybe you can try to use save a copy function, it can avoid re-publishing and migrate to other workspace, specifically you can refer to this link:Copy reports from other apps or workspaces - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hope it helps!

Thanks for your answer.

We are currently using the "move" feature and testing the "save a copy" option as you suggested, but we cannot see the advantages of using this option instead of "move". Deplyment Pipelines are still not working, the links change, and, aditionally, we need to delete the original report.

Thanks!!

Hi @Jcorbalan ,

There doesn't seem to be any other way to do this, as each workspace has a unique workspace ID, and it will locate it that way. But it prevents you from posting from desktop again.

Moving to a folder will change the URL.
