Using Power BI on Ali Cloud without dependency on Azure

Hi Everybody,

It is obseved that Power BI is tightly linked with Azure platform. We wanted to use Power BI report on Ali Cloud. Kindly guide is there a way I can use Power BI on Ali Cloud without any dependency on Azure? Looking for a cloud agnostic reporting. 

We came to know that Power BI onprem can be used by deploying on VM. Is this a correct way are there any drawbacks of using this approach, how simple it is? Will we be able to use our existing reports developed in Power BI Service in this Power BI server?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

So does this means we have to go with Power BI Server only and this needs to be installed on VM?
