Hello,
My company is an ISV. We would like to consider the following scenario:
If we have Power BI Embedded service running under our subscription on Azure, can we let our (big company) customer to use their own Power BI account but to route Embedded features to our Azure service?
To clarify, I will describe two scenarios we are considering:
Our own Power BI license with multi-tenancy implemented by using worspace per user and Service Principals.
Customer's Power BI license. They have their own Power BI management, reports, workspaces.
In these two scenarios we want to use same Power BI Embedded service, that would be running under our Azure subscription.
We want to know if the scenario 2 is possible and how.
Would love an answer to this.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Please try embed for your customers solution, it allows you to build an app that uses non-interactive authentication against Power BI. Your customers are likely to be external users, and they don't need to sign in using Power BI credentials to view the embedded content.
For more details, you can read related document: Embed content in your Power BI embedded analytics application - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hello,
Could you please add some detail about my option No. 1, in my original question?
We cannot resolve how the customer logs in on-premises data gateway, since there is no specialised account for each customer. If we implement multi-tenancy by using workspace separation and service principal profiles, how to enable the customer to connect data sources with on-premises data gateway?
