User "Excluded" a Figure From a Visual - Struggling to Remove the Exclusion

Hi All,

I have a published Power BI dashboard that contains this visual:

PowerbyEye_0-1733741264234.png

One of the users was attempting to drill-through the Management-High figure of 52, but it appears that they accidentally clicked 'Exclude' after right-clicking, rather than 'Drill-through'. That figure of 52 is now no longer visible in the visual from the user's end.

At first they weren't sure how they did it, but we checked it together and I found that this was now included in the 'Exclusions' section after clicking this icon:

We are struggling to find a way to remove this exclusion - there doesn't appear to be an option to remove it after clicking the above icon. The filters pane is hidden from the users of the published dashboard.

I suggested trying right-clicking the empty cell where it should show 52 and clicking 'Include', but then all of the figures in the visual disappeared.

Does anyone know how the user can remove this exclusion that they have applied?

This is the first time I have come across this issue, but it seems it could potentially happen again with the Exclude option being right next to the Drill-through option. Is there any way we can switch off the option to Exclude, to prevent this from happening again in future?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi @PowerbyEye

Please try the below points.

To remove the exclusion:

  1. Unhide the Filters Pane if possible.
  2. In the Filters Pane, remove the exclusion by clicking the "X" next to the exclusion filter.

To prevent future issues:

  • Unfortunately, there's no way to directly disable the Exclude option. Consider providing users with clearer instructions or restricting drill-through access if necessary.

Thansk Poojara. It is a shame that we have to make the filter panel visible in order to undo this, and have no means of switching it off.
