Hi all,
I'm experiencing some issues with one of our users who cannot connect to Power Bi datasets from Excel. All other users in the organization are able to connect to all datasets which they have access to within the organization. However, this user can't neither see or connect to any dataset via Excel -> Data -> Get Data -> Power BI Datasets. The user has access to a bunch of reports in Power Bi Service.
Any ideas on where to start looking? Thanks!
Best regards,
Alexander
Can the user start Analyze in Excel on that dataset from the Power BI service like in the example below?
Is this user maybe missing "build" permissions on the dataset?
He is in the same security group as the rest of the organization which we use to distribute access to Power Bi. So it must be some other issue.
Is he missing a license maybe?
No he has a PPU License as the rest of the org. He can still access all reports in the service, however when we try co connect to them from Excel nothing shows up.
Something in RLS maybe?
