Use Pre-Existing Dataset To Update Streaming Dataset
Hi, Anonymous
I don’t understand what you mean. If you don’t need real-time data, you can directly import the data, and then pin report visuals to the databoard. If you want to refresh, you can connect to the gateway.
If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.

Can you elaborate on this please?
Am I to assume - a Pinned Report Visual is updated when the data set it reffers to, is refreshed? Meaning I could put the Dashboard on a screen and not have to manually refresh it every 5 minutes?
Thanks

Hi, Anonymous
You can't use the pre existing dataset to populate a Streaming Dataset. If data changes are not frequent, you can use import or DQ mode to connect data scoure and you need to configure the gateway to refresh, then you can set schedule refresh.
The dashboard refresh is not real-time, the browser will cache for one hour, if you use the DQ mode, you can set the time as fast as 15 minutes. Or you need to manual refresh.
