Helper IIIUsage statistics on Power BI workspace vs App
If you have an app then you shouldn't share via the workspace anyway (it should be reserved for UAT).
Not aware of a way to tell these apart - if you were using Log Analytics or Workspace Monitoring you could likely do it by looking at the URL - the workspace usage URLs will be missing the /me/ part.
I would second Ibendlin’s comment that best practice is to only share via the workspace app.
I would also suggest looking into the Power BI REST API to pull usage data. You can build much more functional and granular reports with the data in the api.
