Hi. I am trying to generate a new usage metric report but I'm getting an error saying the below. I first thought it was a refresh token issue as I got a warning that my dataset wasn't refreshing as scheduled, but that was addressed and still the same issue. I've tried to follow the steps from this answer: Solved: New Usage Metrics report - no dataset - Microsoft Power BI Community but step 5 says to go to the link and Try It, but that looks to be changed? I believe you now need a service principal profile and to make an API call to delete the dataset then generate a new one and hence a new usage report. Is there no easier way?
Error: The usage data is outdated. Check the refresh history and data source credentials in the usage metrics report dataset settings
Note that my account was locked (too many logins from different places), and the issue started around the time it was recovered. Also note that I am in the GCC region so it might be why I can't see the Try It button (it says the endpoint is different for the GCC region)?

Hi @Anonymous ,
This Try it button does not apply to GCC customers since their API endpoint is different.
1.Please go to audit log check if there is any activity for the tracked report/dashboard.
2.To see the metrics for all the dashboards or for all the reports in the workspace, you have to remove a filter. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-usage-metrics#remove-the-filter-to-see-all-workspa....
3.It could take 24 hours to update the reports. Please test after 24 hours to see if the data is updated.
4.Your Power BI admin has to have enabled usage metrics for content creators. You Power BI admin may have also enabled collecting per-user data in usage metrics. Read about how to enable these options in the admin portal.
5.Please check these limitations here.

Hi
None of these solutionsfixed my issue. This is what I did to fix it
?showHiddenUsageMetricsModels=1
Once you have pasted this directly at the end of the URL you can see the usage metrics dataset. Delete them then start again with creating your usage reports.
Incredible! Can confirm this also worked for me.
Amazing - this worked for me. How on earth did you find this solution?
Thank you. This fixed the problem for me.
