Usage Metrics for 1 year

Hi,

I understand we can view the usage Metrics of any dashboard for only past 90 days. But, I would like to view usage of report for an year. Is there any direct or indirect way maybe using external tools to keep track of 1 year of usage?

Hi @Navya ,

By default automatic usage metrics go back only 90 days. The new usage metrics is actually taking last 30 days.

If you want to build an historic dataset about it, you should consider taking the audit logs from office 365 or the activity logs from Power BI Rest API and store the data in someplace you will handle later with Power BI like in csv\excel file or something.

You can aslo look at below url to get an understanding:

Hi @Navya

You will need to download and store all the audit log data yourself.

Here is my blog post where I explain how to do this using PowerShell
