Usage Metrics Source and data gathering

Hi everyone,

I currently have a customer that uses an overview of how much their employees are using their power bi solution, for tracking achoring.

Currently we are tracking this through the usage metrics dataset that comes out of the box.

The problem is just that the customer is informing us that the report is misleading since it doesn't register all instances of a user accessing the reports.

the setup is as follows:

Reports published in our WS

User has access to the reports through a sharepoint with the embedded powerbi report

Some users access the sharepoint through a remote desktop terminal 

Does anyone know why the dataset is not getting all user data?

And what is the datasource for the usage metrics? (im assuming the "Audit Log", but cant find documentation for this)

Let me know if aditional information is required
