Upload the dashboard on same web link

Hi All

I had a powerbi dashboard on workspace

https://app.powerbi.com/groups/1e4d6a84-ce1e-4c51-8dfe-5bdd7e21792e/reports/6f1e5ccf-eaca-4aa7-8885-...

by mistake i deleted the file, since i had a back file i wanted to save it on the same link, so that user doesn't face issue when clicking the link

Can someone guide and support on how to go about the same

Thanks

Hi. Unless you have build the report with non-common features then you can just download the .pbix file from service. Then you are ready to store it for any changes and publish replacing to modify the report on the same link.

It is usually enough if the file name is the same as the report in the workspace. Then you publish and it will ask to replace. However if the dataset is very different (complete different thing) it might generate two reports with same name instead of replacing. The best would be downloading pbix, modify and publish.

I hope that helps,
