Upload of Excel File Failed
Hi,
I have several reports built in PowerBI, which I update by uploading an updated excel spreadsheet from a local folder on my laptop. This fuction appears to have been removed and I get the following message:
Upload of Excel File Failed
Power BI no longer supports the upload of Excel files from local folders. To upload or view your Excel file in a Power BI workspace, re-save your file in OneDrive or SharePoint.
I have uploaded the relevant excel spreadsheets to OneDrive and then uploaded it to PowerBI, but it doesn't seem to link to my existing reports that I have built.
Any ideas for a workaround or resolution?

At present, Excel files uploaded through OneDrive will become workbook-type, and when opened, they will be Excel in the web.
If you want to update the report data, you can try uploading the entire PBIX file
