Upgrading Power BI App
We have apps in our organization that haven't been upgraded to have multiple audiences. Since the support for the old apps are ending in May, we are looking into upgrading the old apps but we need to ensure this would have zero impacts on business users.
We only found 1 issue regarding 'report navigation' but this was before the app upgrade was made generally available. The items under "Considerations and Limitations" under this article will have zero impact to our business users.
Are there any things we need to consider before performing the upgrade like url change, apps getting uninstalled, or users losing access?
There are important paradigm shifts to consider
- you are switching from "show everything by default" to "hide everything by default"
- you can no longer "park" or "shadow" reports.
Make sure your have your audience PDLs ready before you make the switch.
