Upgrade notification received for a previous year.
Hello,
I was accessing our Microsoft Power BI Sales Report App for Buisness Central, when I noticed the message below in the banner.
I was in the middle of a task and proceeded with my work (without pressing the "x") thinking the notificatio would be there at a later time. However, I am unable to find the notification again. Our team is worried that our Sales App will soon no longer be functional/ supported by Microsoft.
The message provided shows that the "Upgrade" changes were to take effect on May 1st, 2024. We recived the notification on 4/11/25.
Our Questions:
Will the Dynamics 365 Business Central Sales Report App continue to be active past May 1, 2025? If not, where can we find the upgrade we are urged to make?
Was this notification an accident, given that we haven't received it since and it is from last year?
Hi atc-jpineda
Based on what the screenshots is above, it merely means it will not receive technical assistance, but will continue to work. It might be possible to browse in the apps to see if there is another version of this app available.

Hi atc-jpineda ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
GilbertQ Thank you for your quick response.
The message you're seeing is an official notification from Power BI, indicating that the current version of your app will no longer be supported after May 1, 2024. Microsoft recommends upgrading to the latest version of the app to continue receiving technical assistance and to benefit from new features and updates.
Please upgrade the app by navigating to the app's settings or contacting your app administrator if it's managed centrally.
Microsoft is retiring legacy Power BI apps created before “audiences” were introduced. You should republish or upgrade your app to the newer model to ensure compatibility and receive support.
Please check the below blog from the Microsoft.
