Updating the Data Set and the Power BI Desktop File, using Apps

Hey,

I have set up a gateway so my uploaded PBI desktop file's data gets refreshed daily.

However, changes to that file (adding metrics, or visualizations) aren't updated at all (is this behavior even right?)

Must I purchase OneDrive for Business in order to have the PBI desktop files updated, and shared with my colleagues using Apps?

    You just have to re-publish the file when you make those changes.

     

    It will alert you that you already have a report by the same name published and ask if you want to replace it. Hit OK and it will replace the old one with your new version. If you just have some dashboards you've shared, or if you've published this to a group workspace, everyone who has access will get those changes automatically. If you are using an app, you will also have to update the app after republishing.
