Understanding User Permissions in Pro License & Sharing Reports

Hi there!

I have just designed and developed a report (inside Workspace B) and I would like to share it with a broader audience.

My report is using 1 PowerBI dataset from a seperate workspace (Lets call it Workspace A). Now when I try to share it with my audience, they cannot access it.

This is because  my audience does not have read access to workspace A and due to company policies, they should not have access to workspace A. Since I am the developer, only I have access to it.

So I was wondering if there is anyone that can suggest some options to make the report usable to my audience. Here are some options I thought of:

(1) Will it work if instead of granting permission to everyone on Workspace A, we give permission only on the "Power BI Dataset" inside Workspace A. will that be enough?

(2) Will building a dataflow from Workspace B to grab the power bi dataset from workspace A work?

Is there anything else I can try?

PS: My audience has access to workspace B only.

Thanks

Doing item 1 will work.  Item 2 will not work because a dataset currently is not supported as a source for a dataflow.
