Understanding Deployment Pipeline Change Review on Git Integrated Workspace - PBIProTooling

Hi Team,


We have a DEV (Git Integrated) and PROD workspaces and wanting to use develpoment pipelines to compare and push changes to prod.

We've also started using .PBIP format and as a test, we simply renamed a page from "PPP Change" to "PPP ChangeA". I have a few questions:


1. from PowerBI's deployment pipeline change review window, it doesn't recognize the renaming change? why? and if it's a limitation, which tool should we use to compare/push between workspaces
2.  The Deployment pipeline change review winwdow only regconize "PBI_ProTooling" which I dont understand where it came from as oppose to the page renaming?


Hoping for someone to shed some light on these

    Hi, fomoisreal 

     

    If you make changes to a folder, such as moving its location or renaming it, even if you didn't change the items in it, the items are still treated as if you renamed them. Therefore, when comparing pipelines the items are labeled as Different.

      Your answer is far from my question mate. not sure if I worded my questions incorrectly. Just asking 2 things. 1. I purposely rename a page within the dashboard but Deployment pipeline didnt recognize the change but Github does as shown in the screenshot. Is that a system limitaiton on deployment pipeline? 2. PowerBI's deployment pipelines only detected "PBI_ProTooling". what's does it mean?
