Unable to write to the transport connection. An existing connection was forcibly closed.

I have recently switched laptops. Intially I could save and publish pbix files. Then I started to occasionaly get the below error. Now after a day I can no longer publish any pbix files.

I have logged out and back. I have re-booted my laptop. I have installed the exact same PowerBi msi file and my new laptop as on my old laptop, which incidentally still publishes okay. I can't see any reason for me being not able to publish. I took a trace file but nothing jumps out as being wrong.

Same OS on new and old laptops or different OS's? Overall, that seems like a pretty general, common kind of error that I have seem crop up in things completely outside of Power BI in things like VB.NET, VMWare, etc. Looks like a fairly low level protocol/network kind of error, perhaps trying some of these general fixes will help correct your issue:
