Unable to share a data pipeline

I built a simple data pipeline (not a deployment pipeline) that refreshes a semantic model.  I want share the data pipeline with other developers.  I shared the pipeline with the administrator AD group that developers are a member of, but when they try to access it so that they can run it as well, they get this message:  Screenshot 2025-11-05 084129.png

I clicked on the semantic model details and shared it with the AD group using this feature, so I don't know why it's not working:

Hi. Probably having access to the pipeline and semantic model means you can modify it but, in order to run it the user need access to the semantic model connections. Make sure the user has access to the semantic model connections too. You can find the connections menu and the gateway together. If it's a cloud source, you might need to share it like this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-create-share-cloud-data-sources

If they can run the semantic model manually they will be able to do it in the pipeline.

I hope that helps,

It might be referring to the connection used when you configured the semantic model refresh pipeline activity or the connection used by the semantic model itself to accesss its source data.  Your pipeline users likely need to be granted permissions on those connections as well in order to initiate a refresh.
