I recently started using an App for our Power BI reports, and found that users can no longer right-click on visuals to "See Records" or "See Data", which was something they were able to do before we converted to the App. I've found that if I select a particular part of a visual, and then select "Explore" in the top toolstrip, I am given the option to "See Data" or "See Records" (the rest of the options are grayed out because they are not applicable with the specific visual). When I click on "See Data", everything works as expected and I am brought to the view of the data I expect. However, when I go back to the Report, and select the same part of the visual, and then select "See Records" from the Explore menu, nothing happens. It is not until I click onto the same piece of the visual again that I am brought to the "See Records" view I am expecting.
Is there any easier or more intuitive way to do this? Any idea if there is a way to set up the report to allow users to right-click on visuals to either See Data or See Records as needed?
Thanks!
Hi @ledoyle1121,
In my test, the "See Data" option and "See Record" option are still available after adding a report to App.
Could you get these two options via clicking the three dots (...) on the top right of the visual? Also, could you please try to re-create the App and re-publish the App for a test?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi @v-yulgu-msft When I click on the three dots at the top right of the visual, I am given the option to Export data or See data (along with other Sort options) but am not given the "See Records" view I used to have. I'll try re-creating and re-publishing the App and get back to you!
@v-yulgu-msft I'm not sure how, but it looks like the users are able to select See Records and See Data without needing me to change anything or test anything out - I do appreciate your helpful response - it looks like this is no longer an issue!
