Hi Everyone,
I am new to Power BI and we are creating POC. We have created a simple dataset in Power BI desktop and published so we can share it in Workspace.
We created semantic model using OLEDB and data import. Once published we wanted to incremental refresh it once a month however the data source credential getting error.
Our DWH data source is in Azure Management Instance (Tenant A)
Our Power BI service comes with our Subscription of Office 365 (Tenant B)
The Power BI Service data source is not able to connect for both Basic and OAuth2 method. Would anyone be able to advise? Is there a Microsoft support we can contact to configure this?
Thank you.

Just to update on resolution.. after almost a month of working with MS Power BI support team
1. Whitelisting of *.powerbi.com urls - after group call, our system/network team proceeded with allow list - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/security/power-bi-allow-list-urls
2. Installing On-Prem Data Gateway - initially support tried to install on my computer but did not work due to permission / proxy setting / dns configuration. In the end, system team install it in 1 of our VM (used by DBA to run SSIS packages) - environment somewhat both have access to internet (public) and intranet (private) network.
3. Configuring FQDN DNS - our connection to Azure MI is using with "privatelink" private endpoint. MS Azure MI support recommended the DNS config and our system team enable the connection to Azure MI FQDN without privatelink for Power BI Service.

Hi @Anonymous ,
We have raised Microsoft support for this and still on progress from Network/Infra. The suggestion is to open firewall for *powerbi.com since both Power BI service and Azure MI are in cloud.
Will update this thread again when it is resolved. Thank you
There's a lot going on here. Check this out Introducing Cross-tenant Power BI Dataset Sharing | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI and also make sure you have a gateway if required by your setup.
Incremental Refresh has its own very specific set of requirements, but you'll want to fix the connectivity first.
Ideally you want to avoid a gateway (ie your data source is directly visible from Azure)
On-Prem: requires you to set up multiple on-prem VMs that have direct line of sight to your data source
VNet: managed by Azure, requires subscription.
