Unable to refresh data in semantic model Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-premises)

Hi Everyone,

 

I have no issues refreshing the data in Power BI Desktop; however, I encounter an issue when refreshing it in the service.

Error Message in Below:

Data source error: DataSource.Error: Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-premises): Request failed: The operation has timed out. Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10122. DataSourceKind = Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-premises). DataSourcePath = domain/CompanyName/ODatav4-Company. ;Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-premises): Request failed: The operation has timed out. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action. Table: PostedSalesInvoiceHeader.

Hi, @ShanMey 

Thanks for the reply from Poojara_D12 and 3CloudThomas. You can do this in Admin portal to latency refresh time.

Hi @ShanMey 

  • Gateway configuration: Ensure it's active and connected.
  • Timeout settings: Increase the timeout in Power BI Service.
  • Query optimization: Limit data or filter records.
  • Performance check: Ensure Business Central is responsive.

If it is on-premises, you might need to setup an on-premise data gateway
