Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the

I have a data flow that retrieves information from a sharepoint folder. When I schedule updates to this data feed, about 60% of the attempts fail. When things go wrong, I get the error message: "Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" The update is not very large as it takes approx. 10 min. I should add that the folder I retrieve information from is on shared resource in my one drive.

Same problem here with most larger OData downloads. Error occurs one minute after the OData download completes as visible from the originating server. See also https://forums.invantive.com/t/in-power-bi-robaws-connector-odata-unable-to-read-data-from-the-trans... (Dutch). Seems that problem occurs for individual downloads just above 10 MB (compressed) size typically. The data model size does not seem to have an impact. Occurs with small and very large (16.000 columns) data models.

Hi @PBITK ,

  1. Too large data model may be a reason for your scenario, maybe you can try to cut down you data size and try again.
  2. You can try to update your .NET framework to the version which supports TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.2 should then be enabled by default. Refer:

That was a longstanding issue that was acknowledged on https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ but it has now dropped from the page so is supposedly fixed?
