Unable to import table in Tabular editor
Hi,
We are facing issue with importing a new table in tabular editor .It is throwing an error message 'unable to read databases from the source'.This table is available in the DB(SSMS)
The credentials used earlier was based on SQL based authentication which are not working right now so we are unable to import anything.While trying to refresh a table in SSMS it is using service principle to refresh it.The data model is connected to the Power BI using service principle.
How can we resolve this issue to import a new table?
Hi Anonymous Could you check if the Authentication mode used for refreshing data in Power BI are also configured for Tabular Editor,and try syncing the Tabular model and Update the connection string could you check for these

Since the dataset in Power BI uses Service Principal authentication, while Tabular Editor was previously using SQL-based authentication, it is essential to ensure that both environments use the same authentication method. Also, verify that the Service Principal has the necessary read and connect permissions on the SQL database to ensure seamless access. Configuring these settings correctly should help resolve the issue.
