Hello All,
Got this error when i connected to a gateway created. My data source is a all spreadsheet located in shared drive and gateway installed in some other server and it was successful. but am getting this error when I try to establish a new connection via my gateway.
Thank you for your response @rajendraongole1
Hi @AarthySivaramak -This could be due to access restrictions, an incorrect file path, or connectivity issues between the gateway and the shared drive.Could not find a part of the path: The gateway is likely not able to locate the file on the shared drive. This usually occurs because:The gateway server doesn't have access to the shared drive. The file path provided might be incorrect or inaccessible by the gateway.
Verify that the server where the gateway is installed has access to the shared drive.Log in to the gateway server and manually navigate to the file path. If you cannot access it, there may be network or permission issues.Ensure that the gateway service account has proper read permissions to the folder containing the spreadsheet.
Go to Manage Gateways in Power BI Service.Ensure the data source credentials and configuration are correctly set up for the shared drive. If using a mapped drive letter (e.g., Z:), replace it with a UNC path, as gateways often don't recognize mapped drives.Ensure you're using the UNC path and not a mapped drive. check the above and let know.

Still getting the same error:
Unable to create connection for the following reason: Unable to connect to the data source. Either the data source is inaccessible, a connection timeout occurred, or the data source credentials are invalid. Please verify the data source configuration and contact a data source administrator to troubleshoot this issue.
The path '\\xxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx\Sdrive\xxxx\xxxxxxxx\xxxxx\xxxxxxxxx\' is a folder path. A file path is expected.
