Hi vnicholl 

 

Are you trying to connect from Power BI Desktop to your Oracle database?

 

If so you would need to connect from a location that is allowed through the firewall?

Apparently we have to put in not just the obscurely server name/sid but the port also. My coworker was able to connect that way. Dont know why a list of these options are not easily available for Power BI.

    Maybe you can try to use the host:port/SID, like this video.
