'Unable to connect to data source undefined'
Hey there,
Unfortunately, since yesterday we have had the problem that all reports that have worked perfectly over the last few weeks are showing the error message "'Unable to connect to data source undefined", even though nothing has been changed.
The problem is probably due to the connection to our Microsoft SQL, as everything works perfectly with the same file without the SQL data sources.
Security settings are uniformly set to "organisational" in PowerBI Online and PowerBi Desktop. PowerBI Desktop is working absolutely fine.
Can someone please help us out?
Thanks in advance
Finn

Hi fheller98 ,
I did some searching and suggest you check your gateway error log.
Hope this article is helpful to you.

Resolver I
I am experienceing a similar issue. Almost all sheduled dataset refreshes failed this morning and return the same error described above 'Unable to connect to data source undefined'. I have two reports with a live connection to a SSAS Cube which refreshed correctly but all datasets with an import mode failed.
Yesterday we updated the gateway, I don´t know if it´s related to that or a general failure. The gateway connection returns this message "Online: You are good to go." and the live connection to the cube uses the same gateway, so I am not sure if it´s due the gateway update.
