Unable to assign users to Connection

Hello all,

Relative PowerBI newbie here. Wonder if you can help.

I'd like to assign manual refresh permissions on a dataset to a colleague. I've added the user as an Owner on the dataset. Currently they have the Refresh button in the Dataset, but the only option they see is 'Refresh history'.

Wondering if I also need to add them to the Connection? If this indeed the next step, I can't seem to assign anyone to a Connection. I choose the option, but then have nothing in the side panel (see screenshots). Is the ability to add users to a Connection perhaps an admin setting I need to ask for?

Thoughts gratefully received.

Adding users to the Gateway connection as in the screenshot won't allow users to refresh the dataset. Only one user who is the owner of the dataset can do it. You can't have multiple users as owners at the same time.

The owner must be a Member or Admin in the worksapce and take control of the dataset to become able to trigger a manual refresh

      Thanks Amine,

That's good to know. I've gotten around it with the scheduled data refreshes - should do the trick.
