Unable to View Report from Promoted Dataset
Hello to all! I have an issue that I am looking for some input on. I recently published a Power BI report to a workspace in the service. This report uses a promoted dataset as it's source. I then published the workspace to an app and the app was put into capacity. My issue is when I granted app access to end users, they only see blank or a line about not having access to the dataset. I tried granting different levels of access to end users, from viewer to contributor, but same issue. I am able to see the published report in the app as the builder of the report, but not my end users. Thinking it has to do with my build and share permissions granted to me by the sharer of the dataset. I reached out to this person and they ensured that I have the ability to reshare. I have attempted researching reasons for this issue, but wondered what you all know of this? Thanks so much!
- Hi there
Can you go onto the source dataset, click on Manage permissions and make sure that the users and or groups have got read access to the underlying dataset?

Hi RyCO35 ,
Do you have a build permission of the related workspace? If not,it's useless to grant end users other permissions.
Have you been granted the permission of "allow users to share the app and the app's underlying datasets using the share permission"?
Check below reference for help:

Thanks so much for your response and suggestion. That was it! I needed the dataset owner to allow permissions to the dataset
Thanks again!
