Unable to Update Connection Credentials in Power BI Service
Hello Everyone,
I am experiencing an issue updating connection credentials in the Power BI Service. Despite providing the same credentials that I use to successfully refresh the report locally, I receive an error indicating that the data source is inaccessible. Below are the details of the error:
Error Details:
- Error Message: Unable to update connection credentials. Unable to connect to the data source. Either the data source is inaccessible, a connection timeout occurred, or the data source credentials are invalid. Please verify the data source configuration and contact a data source administrator to troubleshoot this issue.
Can you please help me in resolving this issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Based on the description, MySQL server doesn’t support personal mode data gateway.
You should install on-premises data gateway.

what is your data source ?
is it on-premesis source that require Gateway ?
it is an 'On-premises data gateway (personal mode)'
could you verify if your local Gateway is Running ?
if it is running go through this troubleshooting
