Unable To Add Link In Nav Bar of New App Experience

I am unable to use the Add Link function under Add Content in the new app update interface. I can click on the Add Link tab in the Add Content pane, but I am unable to select a Section (there are six sections in this app) and when I click the Add button nothing happens. Is this happening to other users?

OK, so here's what I eventually figured out in my situation - the url I was attempting to link to ended in .php, which was causing the interface to not accept it as a valid url (of course, it wasn't *flagging* it as an invalid URL, because this system is gliiiiiiiiitchy.) I changed the link to be a page higher up in the site's hierarchy and it worked. Have you tried using a different, simpler url (I tested this with super innocuous things like www.nfl.com) to see if it works?

There's nothing more to explain - in some but not all of my new-experience apps, the "Add" button in the screenshot I provided does nothing when I click on it when I'm trying to add a link. I've replicated this every day for the last week.

Once you come into this screen, what happens when you click on "Add". We're facing the same problem, the "Add" button does nothing for us. Unfortunely we can't roll back to the old experience as that feature still works fine...

  • I have the exact same issue.  I open an app, click Add Content, fill out the required info, and click "Add" but it does nothing.  Does not matter what section or what "Open In" I select.

That worked!  I created a link with www.nfl.com then went back in and edited it to the "real" link that I wanted.  I wonder if it was due to the link not being at www but at another prefix.

I hope Microsoft gets it fixed though.  That's an annoying workaround.
