Turning off on-premise gateway for new semantic model over API or settings

Hello everyone!

We use local GW for our data. But there is a problem with him. We publish new reports and datasets automatically using the REST API. And when the dataset is published, this switch is always on.

When the gateway is unavailable (for example, due to network problems), the semantic model is not updated normally, even if this semantic model does not use data sources through that GW. There is always an error

How to disable this option using REST API or (possibly) PowerBI portal settings. Or, if possible, does the report have the appropriate settings?

At some point you created a gateway connection for a cloud data source.  While this is technically possible, it is very much not recommended. Delete that connection from the gateway, re-publish the semantic model, and then do not select a gateway.
