Turn off minimized navigation page

Is there a way to turn off the minimized left navigation pane in the Power BI Service?
I prefer the navigation pane that allows me to view the reports within the workspace I am using.

With the minimized navigation pane, I need to go back to the workspace content to select a different report.
Also - looks like all other users in my organization have the older/expanded navigation pane style, which makes providing training documents to users a bit inconsistent.

Navigation pane changes

The left navigation pane will feature tooltips to explain what the icons represent. You see the tooltips by hovering over the icon in the nav pane. With the new update, the left nav no longer expands. Instead, you hover over any icon and a tooltip appears.

We're also updating the way item navigation occurs. Previously, you could navigate between items through the expanded left nav pane workspace dropdown. Because the updated left nav pane is permanently collapsed, this flow goes away. You can still navigate between items by selecting the workspace icon, then selecting the relevant item from your workspace page.

Hey @jlind ,

In the new UI, you cannot un-collapse it.  I also have some users in my Tenant with the new UI and some with the old UI and I believe that is by design.  I don't like that - I wish everybody's screen looks the same.

The way around it (MAYBE) is to have your admin uncheck the "User Experience Experiment" option.

Thank you, @collinq

That worked and let me revert back to the old UI for now.

I am going to double down on not liking the inability to uncollapse.   Who thought this was a good idea.   Some people want it collapsed.  Others not.   There are hundreds of UX models that allow for pinning such elements,  and it looks like the option existed before.

Put it back.  Please.

Indeed, the new look is not good, I like to be able to see all my workspaces without them being hidden away. That the only way to revert it is seemingly hidden in obscure tenant setting is not great, I have admin on pretty much everything and can't find it. I do wish they would stop with these continual redesigns that nobody wants and is only going to confuse the end user, or at least give very clear and easy to use options for the end user to select from. Then again, as we're waiting for nearly FOUR YEARS now for them to bring dark mode back to desktop I'm not going to hold my breath and will just have to get used to a worse experience
