Our company has began the transition to Power BI and my predecessors created datasets in their personal workspace and then gave access to others who created reports and dashboards from this dataset. The problem will be if they decide to leave we will lose access to these reports. While they can be remade there has been a good amount of work put into these reports and have been spread pretty far.
My question is there any way to either turn the personal workspace into a shared workspace, so transfer of ownership is possible? Or Is there a way to transfer the dataset to a shared workspace and keep the pathways to the reports that have already been created either by transtion or by rebinding the reports to the dataset in the shared workspace.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Hi Mattais,
At the end, how you transition the Personal Workspaces? Was it possible?
Transforming personal workspace to shared/group workspace is not possible
You will need to copy all the contect from personal to shared workspace and start utilising from there
