Tracking down data sources for embedded BI visuals in PowerPoint
- 1 year ago
Hi murs8203,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
It looks like the embedded visuals are linked to a power bi report that you currently don't have permission to access. Please try below steps:
- Open the PowerPoint and select the embedded visual, click on the three dots, if available select ‘Go to report’ or similar one, this may reveal the report URL.
- If that doesn’t work, try exporting the power point as a .pptx file, unzip the .pptx and inspect the XML and look for power bi URLs inside the slide XML files.
- Power BI admin in the tenant can go to the Power BI Admin Portal, under Audit Logs / Workspaces, look for reports and once identified the admin can reassign ownership or share access.
