Hello everyone,
I'm encountering an issue with tooltips in Power BI Service. Until recently, everything was working fine — when hovering over a table, the tooltip would display correctly. However, this week, I noticed a problem: the first time I hover over a table, everything works as expected. But when I hover over another table, the data updates, but the view becomes blurry, and the message "loading report page tooltip" appears.
This issue only happens in Power BI Service. When using Power BI Desktop, the tooltips function as expected without any problems.
I've tried clearing the browser cache, using an InPrivate window, and testing with different browsers, but the issue persists.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions for how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance for your help!

As of 30-Oct-2024, this issue still persists when viewing reports embedded. In the service it works fine.
I am also facing this issue. Tooltip loads on and off and go to LOADING.
This issue has not been fixed yet. We are still seeing the "loading report page tooltip" message.
Update as of this morning my tooltips seem to be loading fine now.
They definitely are better than before, but if I move quickly between two visuals that both have tooltips I'll occasionally still get the "loading tooltip" box. If I move off and back on to the visual it will then load properly.
This is still not fixed. Have there been any updates about when it is likely to be? 'Early October' is pretty vague. It's 7th already.
I've just published a new report that has been in the pipeline for months and relies heavily on this type of tooltip for users, and then this happens!
The last official update on this thread was on 25th September.
The issue seems to be resolved now
Hi,
I'm getting my errors mixed up. I think I posted in the wrong thread. My issue is the spinning 'Loading report psge tooltip' message which is on this thread:
Same here. We rely on this through Harvest for our Winemakers and Production team. It's early October!
This issue is still ongoing. We rely heavily on tooltips for many reports. It is causing us serious issues. Any update on when in early October this will be resolved? Is this being tracked as a "known issue" on Fabric?
This issue seems to have been rectified.
Nope, we're still facing the same issue in PowerBI Services.
The tooltip loads on the very first hover of the mouse, but then it just stays blurry and any other tooltip based on a page is the same.
Unfortunately I spoke too soon. It seems fine for the first couple of visuals but if you go to another page the error happens again.
Same problem here.
Does 'This issue will be fixed in early October' mean in the update released in October or is this not linked to the actual desptop app. It is only happening with published reports.

As of 29-Oct-2024, this issue still persists when viewing reports embedded into a web app. Please advise.
This is still not solved.
I just uploaded a fresh report with a very simple tooltip and it is not working.
Sometimes when I hover it, it loads, then if I hover a default tooltip like in a line chart or something and then hover the customer tooltip again it returns to loading.
This issue is still ongoing. Any update on when this will be resolved? It has been going on at least 3 weeks now
Same here - we are still seeing the bug and starting to cause issues due to the length of time this has persisted.
This problem is still occuring as of the 31st October. This is causing significant problems for our users. Can Microsoft provide an update on this?
