Time go back to UTC when refreshing in Power BI Service
Had made ton of researches in the community, but still cannot find a proper solution.
I have a date and time column, which I can use DateTimeZone.ToLocal() formula to convert into local time zone, but when I publish to PBI service and refresh in PBI service, it goes back to UTC.
I know, I can use an alternative way, ex: -7 hours to PST in the formula to make it happen in both PBI desktop and PBI service, so that when it refreshes in PBI desktop and PBI service, it'll always be -7 hours.
This is not what I'm looking for, because I also have to take daylight savings into consideration.
Is there any proper way that when I refresh in PBI service, the date and time will keep in local time, and also take daylight savings into consideration?
Thank you for your help!

Hi there
I have gotten feedback from the Power BI team that all the servers worldwide are in UTC
Below is a blog post where I explain this and how to overcome it: https://www.fourmoo.com/2017/10/03/power-bi-did-you-know-all-power-bi-services-servers-are-in-utc-now-how-to-handle-it-for-dates-times/- AnonymousNot applicable
Hi,
Thanks for the comment! However, it does not solve my problem on daylight savings (it will be -7 hours / -8 hours depend on the daylight savings)
What I want to see is adjustable local time based on the daylight savings on Power BI service. Or is it just no solution for it and I have to live with the fixed -7 hours?
Thank you!

Hi there. I have a blog post called create fiscal dates which includes parameters on how to manage daylight savings. Just google it.
