Tile format not reflecting the visualisation

Hi all,

I'm new to the Power Platform and am building my first Power App. I want to embed a Power BI tile into my app so the tile needs to have the right colours.

I've created the visualisation and it looks pretty much how I'd like it to.

The part that is confusing and frustrating me is that for some reason when I go to pin the tile, the background changes to white and the value descriptions disappear.

Why might this be?

I hope this is an easy one for someone more experienced but I have no idea why it would do this. See the screenshots and captions for more details.

Thank you to anyone who can help.

Hi @TeachNT

When you pin a visualization from a report to a dashboard, certain formatting options, including background color, are not retained.

This is a known behavior in Power BI, where the pinned tile defaults to white or adopts the theme of the dashboard.

As for the value descriptions disappearing, this isn't explicitly documented, but it's likely due to the limitations of pinning visuals to dashboards. Some possible reasons include:

The resizing of visuals to fit the tile, which might hide or obscure value descriptions.

Conditional formatting not being applied to the dashboard tiles.

Certain text properties, like font family and color, may default to dashboard settings.
