There is not enough space on the disk

Hi team,

Today I had a problem with Power BI service.

I have a few data sets in Power BI service and schedule refresh for those in Power BI service. 

I installed the Enterprise data gateway and it works fine previously.

Today the refresh failed and the error message came back is:

"There is not enough space on the disk"

Could you please tell me where this error came from and how to fix it?

Do I need to do something in the service or in the data data gateway?

Hi there

I would suggest checking the C: Drive where you physically installed the Gateway

It would appear that possibly the entire C:Drive has run out space?

Hi Gil,

 

Just checked it. There are plenty of spaces for that drive which the gateway installed on.

 

That is not where the issues come from.

Interesting, could it possibly then not be from the source system where you are getting your data from?

I also checked where the report is prepared and stored.

 

Even more spaces available.

I mean your source data, so if it is from a database, does the database system have enough space?

Hi Gil,

 

Could you please tell me how I can check that?

 

The database is an VM and in the cloud.

 

I will ask someone else to check it.

 

Is that might be the cause to this issue?

 

What is the usual place for Power Query to cache the data? In the server where the gateway installed or on the server where the data sources installed?

I am just trying to rule out different area's for you to see where the error is occurring from. I have never had this error myself.

Hi,

 

I'm having the same problem with Power Bi Service, how did you manage to fix the problem?

Can you please post more details of the error you are experiening.
