The credentials provided cannot be used for the AzureBlobs source Error in Power BI Service

Hello Community ,

I am using a blob storage to get data . In Power BI desktop , I connected to blob storage with a key . However , After publising the report , when I wanted to schedule the refresh , I got this error  "The credentials provided cannot be used for the AzureBlobs source"during updating the Data source credentials

Does any one have an idea .

Best regards

  • Hi , FAMH

According to the screenshot provided by your error, it appears that you encountered an issue when configuring credentials that are illegal and cannot be used in the connected data source. If convenient, you can try another SAS token authentication method to try whether you can use PBI service to connect directly to this Azure blob data source?

Create shared access signature (SAS) tokens for storage containers and blobs - Azure Cognitive Services | Microsoft Learn

If all attempts to connect fail, can you expand the error detail and paste it in the reply of this case in text format? Thank you so much!

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

    Best Regards,
