Test as Role per report
Hmm, not sure about the Service but you can still do View as in the Desktop.
Greg_Deckler Unfortunately the dataset is separate from the report layer. So we're unable to use manage roles to do the check it in desktop
Ah, so when you click on the dataset ellipses and go to Security and then for a role, you click those ellipses and click Test as role then you end up going to a blank report because that is the default "report" tied to your dataset, is that correct? And then you have no option to switch to another report that uses that same dataset, is that also correct?
Greg_Deckler Yes exactly. It's confusing to me that the old Power BI site allowed me to choose related reports. But the new version does not. While I also cannot test in desktop.
I know that they have been rolling out a new interface in the Service, are you able to switch back to the old look and feel and it works?
