Tenant setting and access control, what is the connection???

I try to understand the security and authorization rights in Power BI before embedding the software in our organisation.

In a workflow admins create reports, publish them into workspaces, edit the content in the workspaces with selected members/contributors and publish selected items into apps to large group of people.

Admins and members of a workspace can define what end-user in apps can and can't do, set permissions etc.

At the same time I read a lot about admin portal and tenant settings, but still can't get what is the connection between admin portal (tenant settings) and access permissions in workspaces and apps.

Thanks in advance!

HI @vladmakienko,

Tenant setting not include options which you mentioned, you can refer to below link to know more about this:

Power BI admin portal

For group workspace, you can only setting permissions to control users can read or edit.

Manage your app workspace in Power BI and Office 365

I'd like to suggest you setting dynamic RLS with username to accuracy control display contents based user.

RLS with UserName()
