Good day forum
I have an issue I hope someone can assist me with. We ahve a large data model that runs in Premium Capcaity. This is a composite model using both direct query and imported data. We apply format strings to all of our measures and the data appears as expected inside the service. When the users exports the data all measure formatting is removed. Meaning $29.95 exports as 29.95 and 12% exports as 0.12. We have other datasets which are exclusively import models and all formatting is retained on export. This has me confused as to why this particular model is not exporting with measure format strings.
I see 2 main difference in the large mode verses our smaller models that could be causing this issue
1) It is a composite model. The data could be from in memory or Direct Query.
2) We are using visual personalization in our reports.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior with composite models or visual personalization?
@MattKarriker2 I had similar issue but when I created measure in power bi while directly connected to analysis services. Had a ticket on this with MS but in the end MS team said it can't be priortized to be fixed since its a minor issue and workaround is for users to format it in excel once exported. This was more than a year ago unfortunately and the problem still exists.
Mine is even worse since I had charts where measures were created in power bi and analysis services. So, the export had both formatted and unformatted numbers.
