Switching ownership on reports

Hi all, Our analyst that created and shared all our reports is leaving. What can we do in order to move ownership so we remain with the option to edit his reports? And who can do it? (The admin or a...

Maayan_Sh Where do the reports live, in the analysts workspace "My Workspace" or in an App Workspace?

If they are in the personal workspace, you need to move the content to an App Workspace first.

Are they using an Enterprise Gateway for refresh, or personal?

This might get ugly, you need to make sure that all the data sources that the analyst is using are accessible to everyone else. If not, you have to fix all the data source connections in the reports to be in a shared location.

Are all the PBIX files in a shared location? - You need to make sure you have access to the reports themselves so you can modify them as needed.

There are a bunch of scenario's as you can probably tell with my Q&A already. If you could provide more detail around the setup that would help.

    1. He used "my workspace" and actually tried today to open it in an app workspace but it did not work. At the time it created there was no app workspace. Is there a migration soultion?
    2. We are using personal gateway since there was a problem in enterprise gateway. 
    3. The data sources are not acceible to everyone, but I do have access. If in the end I would be the owner or the reposrt and then share it, it should be sufficient right? If not, what would fixing the sources require (I'm new to power BI...)?
    4. We will make sure all PBIX are updated and in a shared location.
    5. Any additional info that would help?
