Hi,
Consider one report is created by user A using his sharepoint folder in Power BI Desktop and published to Power BI Service.
In the same published report, User B wants to use his sharepoint folder by simply changing dataset parameters from dataset settings in Power BI Service.
How can achieve this?
Thanks in advance.
The datasource parameters are not something viewers interact with, they would need to edit the the report to change them. The SharePoint folder connector, despite its name, actually connects to the site level, not a specific folder (unless you filter on folder path in the query). So if you were using parameters, you would need one for the site URL and one for the folder path - so you'd create those and then replace the references in the advanced editor for the query with your own.
Keep in mind that there are two places that reference these in the SP folder connector - the main query and one of the helper queries, so you'd need to update both.
