Support for composite models with Power Bi datasets/Azure Analysis Services

Hi all,

Does anyone know what is happening with support for composite models for Power Bi datasets/Azure Analysis Services?

It was previously in the release plan here but it has since been removed.

There was also an idea which was in the top 50 or so rated on ideas.powerbi which has also been removed. I think the link was (my browser had it cached): https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/34922932-composite-models-when-connected-to-sql-server-**bleep**

Does anyone know what happened to this? Is there communications anywhere which would indicate whether this is still planned? To say that we are desperate for this is an understatement.

    Hi Anonymous,

     

    I accidentally saw a conversation on Twitter about it being removed from the current release plan by Will Thompson, because they couldn't make that deadline. It will be shipped later this year probably though.
