Hello Community,
I use in one of my reports the "Text Filter" visual, a Power BI certified visual. It is very convenient to use it as a slicer in our organisation hierarchy, as you can quickly type in the code of your cost center.
Now I get the warning, that this visual is using an old and not longer supported interface. The prompt tells me to use an alternative from the marketplace.
Has anyone an idea as to which visual I could go to?
Thanks a lot, any hint is appreciated.

Hi, @hashtag_pete
I agree with what you said above.
Unluckily, I don't know what will happen to the Text Filter visual in the future. Maybe it will still exist in the short term, maybe this visual will get updated, and I think we could get a announcement from somewhere before it doesn't work. You can save this visual and maybe it will still be available later. If this visual is very helpful to you, you can still enjoy the convenience of it before it doesn't work.😁

Hi, @hashtag_pete
Text Filter visual will NOT be deprecated in response to community requests. The deprecation warning will go away within a week.😁
Text Search Deprecated - what is its replacement?.

Hi Zeon Zheng,
I like the visuals, so thanks for pointing it out, but it does not quite fit the requirements. E.g. if I want to have all legal entities of Austria, which start with "AT0*", then the text filter filters to all of them - the OKViz one selects the first one by default.
This might different in the PRO version, but we have company restrictions on that.
Thanks anyway for your efforts!

Hello Zeon Zheng,
thanks for this proposal, that's what I have done as a temporary solution. But the expansion of the hierarchy does not follow the searched text (e.g. if everything is collapsed, and you enter a text, then you have to expand the hierarchy i.o. to see what has been found) so this is not really user friendly.
But as an intermediate solution it works..
Do you know what happens to the Text Filter visual in the future? If it is not supported any longer, will it provide wrong results in the reports?
Thanks

Hi, @hashtag_pete
This visual may be an alternative viusal, although it may require a fee.
Here is the description of the visual

Hi, @hashtag_pete
Slicers might be what you want.
Create a slicer and choose which column you want to use. Then click the three little dots in the right hand corner and choose "Search". Now you can easily find the entry by typing it in the search field.
