I created a new subsciption for an existing dashboard, and set it up for 15+ users to receive the subscription. When creating the subscription I checked "Access to this Dashboard" as "On", but as soon as users received the email and tried to click through to the dashboard, they got a screen telling them to ask for access to the dashboard. Why does the subscription not grant them the access automatically? Am I missing a setting somewhere else in the reports and/or workspace? All users in our organization have Power BI Pro licenses.
Thanks
David
@dedelman_clng ,
Ideally the users should directly get access using the option you have mentioned. Can you check if the users are added to the access list of dashboard using dashboard's manage permissions section?
Hi @Anand24 - thanks for the reply. When I got the first request, I looked in the Dashboard permissions section and none of the users showed up there, only the workspace users that have "member" or higher permissions.
I have since added the recipients manually to fend off multiple emails reqeusting access, but want to know if I'm doing something incorrectly.
Also of note I tried to "approve" one of the pending requests (I am a tenant admin and admin/owner of the workspace) and it kind of got stuck - I clicked Approve and afterwards the Approve button was grayed out, but the request was still pending. Don't know if that is related or not.
Thanks,
David
