Just wanted to post a comment about managing the dataset when the historic data analysis is enabled.

There does not seem to be a way to limit the amount of data collected. It's either all or nothing.

It would be nice to be able to limit the dataset by size or row count. After it reaches a limit the older data is removed.

I'll post in the Ideas forum too.

Currently it's not supported to limit the data amount retrieval when enablling historic data analysis. Please submit an idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi. We will also report internally. If you concern about the stroage issue, please turn off the "historic data analysis".
