Streaming Dataset - Page refresh Admin interval 30 minutes in Premium workspace

Hi all, appreciate your time.

We have set up a streaming dataset using API / Powershell which is housed in a P1 Capacity premium workspace. However the report will only let us set up a page refresh time of 30 minutes due to the admin interval. If we direct query a SQL database the admin interval is 1 second, so feel there is a setting somewhere that must need changing on the workspace but cannot see anything within the settings of the tenant, capacity or the workspace.
Manually refreshing the report page in service sees the data change every second, so the final hurdle is getting the page to refresh automatically.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hi Leroy. Thank you for the additional materials but I'm afraid the PPU settings are already 1 Second, but I still have the issue that if I build a report from a streaming dataset I cannot set the page refresh lower than 30 minutes. I guess the expected behaviour is to build a dashboard and not a report, but I find the visual options too restrictive.

We have circumvented the issues by building a CDC table in Azure with a direct query in Power BI, this can then have the 1 second page refresh enabled and gets the desired results without using a streaming dataset.

So although not resolved I am happy for this thread to be closed. Appreciate you taking the time to reply.

    Hi,AdmVarr

If your needs are to modify the fixed refresh interval as follows:

    My solution is as follows:

1.First you can open your adminportal:

2.Next, find the location in the image below:

3.Finally modify the refresh interval here:

4.The following is the relevant documentation, I hope it will be helpful to you:

    Hi Leroy,
Appreciate the reply but that is already set to 1 second. We have a direct query to a SQL database that page refreshes every 1 second without any problems. However for some reason when we connect to the streaming dataset the restriction of 30 minutes is forced, which completely defeats the object of a streaming dataset...

Shameless bump as still having this issue with the steaming dataset. Really want to avoid using a dashboard as want to build a composite model and have a report that refreshes regularly. Very much appreciate any help that can be offered. Thank you

      Hi,AdmVarr

Has the problem been solved? If it does, share your solution and accept it as a solution that will help other community members who have the same problem as you.

If not, you can also check if the setting of the location here makes a difference:

Of course, the storage mode also affects it, here is a screenshot of the official document:
